“Art can come out of pain and sadness” -Pablo Picasso
My childhood had a profound effect on who I would be as an adult. Although there was much pain and sadness in my earlier years, I quickly realized that life is beautiful.
Ansel Adams once said, “The closer I get to nature, the closer I get to God.” Painting for me is a spiritual journey, each stage of life brings new changes and challenges.
My desire is to observe the natural world, capture these moments or feelings, turn them into something beautiful and then share them.
I want each viewer of my art to be struck with their own emotion or distant memory.
Through my art, I continue to make a spiritual connection with myself and God. As you view my art, please accept my invitation to make your own spiritual connection.
